Days of the Dead Atlanta Review

Skull and Bones Entertainment invades Days of the Dead Atlanta!

We arrived to Days of the Dead Atlanta Thursday evening and immediately went to the pre-party at Jekyll and Hyde’s. While there, we watched Goddamn Zombie as well as First Jason. There were quite a few other convention attendees, and everyone was able to drink, eat, mingle and have a great time before the REAL fun started on Friday.

Friday morning we woke up and walked around the hotel lobby, where it wasn’t unusual to see a celebrity grabbing a cup of coffee or checking in. Conventions are great for fans because it’s probably the only opportunity you get to casually occupy the same space as the people you admire from the movies you love. Once the doors opened we immediately went to the celebrity signing areas to do a walk through and talk to those celebs we’ve become acquainted with and meet those who we hadn’t before. We also wandered through the vendor room, immediately seeing things that made us say “I want that!” There was no shortage of awesome stuff in the vendor room that’s for sure!

Skull and Bones Entertainment to interview Nick Principe

Skull and Bones Entertainment to interview Nick Principe in March

Nick is best known for his role as Chromeskull, the meticulous and technologically savvy killer in Laid to Rest and Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2. He also has an uncredited cameo in Hatchet 2 as a hunter. Standing at almost 7 feet tall, he’s one of the tallest stuntmen in the industry. Even with his size he manages to perform as one of the most graceful killers around. Though his fellow actors have described Nick as a kind and good hearted person, when the time comes to get in character, he has no problem bringing a menacing and unsettling presence to the set.

Nick came to Los Angeles as a horror fan himself. His resume simply stated “I want to be Michael Meyers” and his passion for the horror genre can be best summarized by one of his many tattoos, which reads, “Born to Kill”. He has proved his dedication to the character Chromeskull by getting a tattoo of him on his back.

Look for him in VS, Madison County, and Nobody Can Cool which are currently awaiting release dates. Nick has several projects to be released in the near future, in 2012 be sure to look out for Nick in Mondo Holocausto! Disciples and The FP, which is due out in Spring.

With his passion for slasher films and love for the genre expect to see plenty more outstanding performances from Nick in the future.

The MEN BEHIND THE MASK Return For DAYS OF THE DEAD II (Atlanta)

DAYS OF THE DEAD brings its fan favorite MEN BEHIND THE MASK panel (one of the highlights of DAYS OF THE DEAD in Indianapolis last July) to their upcoming Atlanta show, March 9th-11th, 2012.

What happens when you stick four of the biggest, baddest men in horror in one room and unleash them upon a crowd of horror fans? DAYS OF THE DEAD aims to find out when they bring their fan favorite MEN BEHIND THE MASK panel to DAYS OF THE DEAD II, happening Saturday, March 10th, 2012 during the convention's weekend take over of Peachtree City, GA just outside Atlanta.

The first MEN BEHIND THE MASK panel was one of the most talked about events at the first DAYS OF THE DEAD show, which happened last July in Indianapolis, IN, and featured Derek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009), Brian Steele (Predators, Underworld), and Andrew Bryniarski (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003). This time around, DAYS OF THE DEAD is bringing back veterans Mears and Steele while inviting two new masked men to join the fold: Nick Principe (who played Chromeskull in the Laid to Rest franchise) and Tyler Mane (known in the horror genre for portraying Michael Meyers in both of Rob Zombie's Halloween movies)

Roddy Piper, Sid Haig, and Nick Principe added to DAYS OF THE DEAD: Atlanta

It is with great pleasure that we announce the additions of action star and pro-wrestling legend, "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER, as well as genre icon, SID HAIG, and actor NICK PRINCIPE joining an all star cast of horror talent at DAYS OF THE DEAD: Atlanta which already includes Barbara Crampton, Heather Langenkamp, Gary Busey, Amelia Kinkade, Bill Moseley, Howard Sherman, and many more!
DAYS OF THE DEAD: Atlanta, happening March 9th-11th in Peachtree City, GA!

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper, is one of the most recognizable names in the history of professional wrestling and one of the most infamous villains in the history of the sport. Known for his spontaneity, and his rockstar-like persona, "Hot Rod" is often remembered for his long standing feud with arch nemesis Hulk Hogan, a rivalry that culminated in an epic brawl at Wrestlemania I which saw Hogan and Mr. T going against (and narrowly defeating) Piper and Paul Orndorff (with Muhammad Ali acting as special guest referee).
Throughout his tenure in pro wrestling, Piper accumulated thirty-four championships in various promotions during his career. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
