Roddy Piper, Sid Haig, and Nick Principe added to DAYS OF THE DEAD: Atlanta


It is with great pleasure that we announce the additions of action star and pro-wrestling legend, "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER, as well as genre icon, SID HAIG, and actor NICK PRINCIPE joining an all star cast of horror talent at DAYS OF THE DEAD: Atlanta which already includes Barbara Crampton, Heather Langenkamp, Gary Busey, Amelia Kinkade, Bill Moseley, Howard Sherman, and many more!

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper, is one of the most recognizable names in the history of professional wrestling and one of the most infamous villains in the history of the sport. Known for his spontaneity, and his rockstar-like persona, "Hot Rod" is often remembered for his long standing feud with arch nemesis Hulk Hogan, a rivalry that culminated in an epic brawl at Wrestlemania I which saw Hogan and Mr. T going against (and narrowly defeating) Piper and Paul Orndorff (with Muhammad Ali acting as special guest referee).
Throughout his tenure in pro wrestling, Piper accumulated thirty-four championships in various promotions during his career. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

Steve Dash to Make First Pittsburgh Convention Appearance at Horror Realm

 Pittsburgh legend Bill Cardille also slated to appear
 


Pittsburgh, PA – September 5, 2011 – Horror Realm, Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention, is pleased to announce that actor and veteran stuntman Steve Dash will be appearing at its fall show on September 16-18.  Horror fans know Dash as Jason from Friday the 13th Part 2.  He has continued to work in the movie industry including roles in Mr. Hush, Stagemore and Hemo.  This will be Dash’s first Pittsburgh convention appearance.

Local television and radio legend Bill Cardille will be appearing at the convention on Saturday, September 17 from noon until 4 PM.  “Chilly Billy” is the beloved host of the iconic local television program Chiller Theater, which Cardille hosted from 1964 to 1983.  This is a rare joint appearance by Cardille and his daughter Lori, who starred in the George Romero film, Day of the Dead. Lori Cardille will be appearing all weekend.

Horror Realm has also added director Danny Steinmann (Savage Streets) and scream queen Linnea Quigley to the guest line up.
